Tracy, CA - With profound love and sadness, we announce the passing of Weldon Offill, who entered eternal rest on July 4, 2026, at the age of 80. After a courageous battle with cancer. Weldon passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family in the comfort of his home.

Weldon was born on April 8, 1946 in Porterville CA, where he was raised. He was the beloved son of Bert Weldon and Mildred Vivian Offill. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Epps, and is survived by his sisters, Jennie Haupt and Beverly French.

The values of hard work, faith, and family that were instilled in him during his childhood remained the foundation of his life.

Weldon was known for his strength, unwavering integrity, generous heart, and deep love for his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law, and friend whose kindness, humility, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A respected businessman and skilled craftsman, Weldon was the proud owner of Country Builders Construction from 1979 until his retirement in 2013. He was a proud Union framer. Over the course of 34 years, he built more than homes—he built lasting relationships, earned the trust of countless clients, and established a reputation for quality workmanship, honesty, and dependability. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family through a career defined by dedication and excellence.

Weldon's faith was the foundation of his life. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ until his passing. He loved worshipping God and especially enjoyed traveling to church meetings, where he treasured fellowship with other Christians and the encouragement they shared together.

Outside of work, Weldon had a lifelong passion for sprint car racing. He was the proud owner and sponsor of the Country Builders Construction Sprint Car from 1987 to 2026. Some of his happiest moments were spent at the racetrack, cheering on his car and sharing the excitement with family, friends, and the racing community.

When he wasn't at the racetrack, Weldon found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved tending to his garden, spending time on his tractor, and caring for his beloved horse, Jack. Whether working outdoors or enjoying the peace of the countryside, he found happiness in God's creation and in the life, he built with his family.

Weldon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Saundra Kaye Offill, the love of his life, whose memory remained forever in his heart.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Janet Stein and her husband, Niles; Bryan Offill and his wife, Michelle; Kelly Offill and his wife, Sandy; Keith Offill and his wife, Kim. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Niles Stein and his wife, Hanna; Vance Stein and his wife, Jordan; Brittany Offill; Shelby Offill; Tyler Offill and his wife, Kylie; Courtney Offill; Kyle Offill; and Kendall Offill. He was also the cherished great-grandfather of Haven, Bixby, Niles, Bradley, and Brynlee, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.

Weldon will be deeply missed by his family, extended relatives, many dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith. His legacy of hard work, love, humility, and perseverance will live on through the family he cherished and the countless people whose lives he influenced.

The funeral service for our beloved Weldon B Offill will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy, CA. Chapel services will be livestreamed via his tribute page at www.frymemorialchapel.com for family and friends unable to attend. An online guest book is also available for condolences and special messages to the family.
