Hartshorne, OK - Wayne Lee Peace, 68, of Hartshorne, passed away on May 12, 2025.

Wayne Lee Peace was born November 18, 1956 to Bob and Katherine Peace in Hartshorne Ok. He was raised and attended grade school in Gowen. He graduated from Wilburton High School in 1975. Wayne started American fence Company in 1985 with his brother Dennis and has built fence all throughout our community for 40 years. He retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation after 31 years, where he worked as surveyor and ended his career as Inspector. Wayne was an avid outdoors man. He lived to hunt, fish, trap, camp, boat, and ski. He took great pride of his accomplishments in archery and boxing where he won multiple awards. He was an active family man who went above and beyond for his children. His participation in FFA with his daughter Haven earned him award for his support.

Wayne is survived by his mother Katherine Peace Watson of Hartshorne, his siblings, Bobby and Ruth Peace of Stillwater, Dennis and Marla Peace of Gowen, and Beth and Barry Bowman of Tulsa. His children, Shane and Tosha Peace of Gowen, Justine and Randall McGuire of Hartshorne, Shelby Peace and Haven Peace of the home. Grandchildren, Shania, Remington, Gunner, Gatlin, Eden, Teslyn, and Steel, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Peace; and his grandparents, Edna and Lonnie Potter.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Hartshorne First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at Gowen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Peace, Shelby Peace, Jerrid Wilcox, Tyler Reynolds, Kai Tom, and Randall McGuire. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Peace, Dennis Peace, Jerry Dorell, Craig Powell, Travis Powell, Roger Wood, and Jerry Shackelford.
