Thomas Clayton Pate, of Wilburton, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at McAlester Regional Health Center.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 1, at City Cemetery in Wilburton

with brother Jerry Jiles and Jacob Jiles officiating.

Thomas was born in McAlester, on April 6, 1954, to John and Audra Pate. He graduated from Wilburton High School with the Class of 1972.

Thomas served his country and was discharged from the United States Navy in 1979.

He received an associate degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 1981 and went on to East Central University in Ada studying business administration.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Margetta Pate, of the home; daughter, Patsy Green and spouse, Jason, of Wilburton; sons, Thomas Pate Jr., Brandon Pate, and Nick Pate, all of Wilburton; brothers, John Pate and spouse, Marsha, of San Mateo California, and Butch Pate and spouse, Dana, of Coalgate; sister, Pat Cuzalina, of Wilburton; grandchildren, Jessi Green, Miley Pate, and Bentley Pate, and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Audra Pate; brothers, Kenneth Pate and Mike Pate, and sister, Joan Fresquez.
