Tade Joseph-Dale James, 12, of Arpelar, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, in McAlester.

Viewing will be held on Monday, June 29, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Jones-Harkins Funeral Home in Wilburton.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at Sulphur Cemetery, near Hartshorne.

Tade Joseph-Dale James was born on April 12, 2008, in Emporia, Kansas, to Johnny Allen and Lindsay Ann (Williams) James. He enjoyed listening to music and was nicknamed the "Hulk" by his nurses and doctors for his ability to be a strong fighter.

Tade is survived by his parents, Johnny and Lindsay James, of the home; brothers, Carter James and Will James, of the home; grandmother, Brenda Ross, of Haileyville, and grandfathers, Steven Williams, of Neosho Rapids, Kansas, and Johnny Frank James, of Hartshorne.

Tade is also survived by a very special nurse, Ashley Davis, of Madison, Kansas, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Teresa Williams.
