Krebs, Okla. - Jeffrey Drew Crone, 40, of Krebs, passed away Wednesday, June 25, with his family at his side. Visitation will be Monday, June 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 1 at 11 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel.

Jeffrey Crone, known to most as Jeff, was born on August 27, 1984, in Port Washington, Wisconsin to Donald and Judith (Lawson) Crone. His family moved to Crowder when he was a young child and that's where he grew up. He graduated from Crowder High School in 2003 and went on to play baseball at Eastern Oklahoma State College. He later moved to Tulsa until moving back to the area with his fiancé in 2014. He was married to Caylin Coxsey on October 18, 2014, and they built their home in Krebs.

Jeff wore many hats and worked at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant as a field mechanic until stopping to focus on his battle with cancer. Jeff loved spending time outdoors and with his family, especially with his two sons.

In his spare time, Jeff loved fishing and was a fan of many sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and the OSU Cowboys. He enjoyed watching professional wrestling with his family. He also loved music and playing the guitar.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Caylin Crone and their sons, Cooper and Connor; his parents, Donald and Judith Crone of McAlester, Oklahoma; his sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Beau Hopson of Edmond, Oklahoma and their children, Ethan and Seth; his brother, Joseph (Joey) Crone of Golden, Colorado; his father and mother-in-law, Larry and Stephanie Coxsey of Krebs; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl and Opal Crone; and maternal grandparents, Glenn and Dolly Lawson.
