Quinton, Oklahoma - James Edward Shelton born in Stigler, OK on June 3, 1962 to Bobby Gene and Wynema Odene Shelton. Passed on August 23, 2021 in Chelsea, OK. He graduated from Quinton High School in 1980. He owned JS Remodeling from 2015 until the time of his passing. He was a member of the Cedar Point Church in Claremore.

James leaves behind four daughters. Chandra Purdom of Chelsea, OK. Jalene Shelton Hull of Mcalester, OK. Megan Shelton Luke and husband Kendall of Stuart, OK. And Lindsey Whinery and husband Brett of Canadian, OK. He had 11 grandchildren Rocky, Caden, Drevon, Pepper, Brinlee, Mayleigh, Shailee, Gunner, Jaydee, Kyann, Jesse and five brothers Kenneth Shelton and wife Missy of Tarleton, OK. Harley Shelton and wife Dianne of Etheridge, TN. Terry Shelton of Chelsea, OK. Greg Shelton and partner Nate of Tulsa, OK. Dale Shelton and Debbie of Chelsea, OK. One sister Debbie Shelton and husband Michael Thomas of Eufaula, OK. Lots of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2021, at the Quinton Baptist Church with Rick Burke officiating. Pallbearers are Shannon Fry, Justin Kirkendall, Josh Coplen, Jeff Scott, Jacob Lucas and Caleb Riddle.
