Jack Frank Petricek
Jack Frank Petricek, 87, of McAlester, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
Private services are pending at this time.
Jack was born on November 16, 1932, in McAlester, and became a lifelong resident. A McAlester High School graduate, he went on to earn a bachelor of science degree from Oklahoma State University.
He was a retired electrical engineer at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (Navy Depot).
Jack also served in the Korean War as a sergeant in the United States Army.
Jack's hobbies included building and flying remote control airplanes. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping and boating with his family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Madeline Petricek; a brother, William Petricek, and a daughter, Bobbie Ledbetter.
He is survived by two daughters, Christy Slocum, of McAlester, and Ellen Faulkenberry, of Grand Prairie, Texas; a granddaughter, Claire Harrington, of Grand Prairie; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Sarah and Jacob Harrington, of Grand Prairie; two brothers, Richard Petricek and wife, Carol, of Skiatook, and Donald Petricek and wife, Anne, of Atlanta, Georgia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
