Hazel Lee (Miller) Garrison
Hazel Lee (Miller) Garrison, 83 of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at her residence.
The family will greet friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 8 at Abba's House, 900 E. Comanche, McAlester, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. James Hodgson and Bishop James Hail officiating.
Hazel was born August 29, 1936 in Gilmer, Texas to John Calvin and Connie Hazel (Gaston) Miller. She moved from Texas in 1953 and later married James "Bud" Garrison on September 29, 1953 in McAlester. She was a homemaker and a mother to her beautiful girls.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Ellis and husband, Ron, Carrie Weeks and husband, David and Kelly Hollingback and husband, Rick all of McAlester, Grandchildren, Amie Whorton, Dana Johnson and husband, Michael, Stephaine Vernor, James Labor and wife, Shelly, Deanna Williams and husband, Randy, Jered Weeks and wife Jeannie, Zach Hollingback and wife Carrie, Mikaela Hollingback, Tabitha Zurovetz and husband, Mark, John Hollingback and wife, Amy, and Kristi Gufey and husband, Michael, 31 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Buddy Miller and wife, Alma, sisters-in-law and spouses, Nina Johnson and husband, Junior, Wilma Kerns and husband, Gerald, Charlene Pratt, Faye Miller and Mary Miller a brother-in-law, Jim Garrison and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Connie Miller, husband, James Garrison, a sister and 8 brothers.
Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Zachary Hollingback, Braden Tripp, Kaleb Fry, Colton Williams, Jared Weeks, Grant Vernor, Payton Labor and James Labor, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dakota Pollock, Earl Shackleford, Michael Parker, Willie Fox, Chris Whorton, Kenny Teague, Randy Williams, Michael Johnson and James Labor.

We all loved Aunt Hazel and never got to see her enough. Mom can no longer travel that far and regrets we can’t be there. We will be praying for the family.
