Frances Helen Carman
Frances Helen (Andrews) Carman, 94, of McAlester, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, in McAlester.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Dr. Rusty McMullen and the Rev. Dub Brown. Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Fassino, Austin Fassino, Zac Uhles, Rob Uhles, Greg Palmer and Garrett Page.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Hutton, Joe Delaune, Bob Chapman, Cliff Shannon, George Carman Jr., John Kirby and Randy Saunier.
Frances was born on November 12, 1925, in Booneville, Arkansas, to Charlie and Pearl (Porter) Andrews. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1943 and was a district all-star basketball player.
She worked as a floor supervisor for Seampruf/Komar for 38 years and was a member of the 20 year club.
Frances was a member of First Baptist Church of McAlester where she sang in the choir for over 60 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Prime Timers. Frances enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Pearl Andrews; her first husband, John L. "Jiggs" Hamilton; second husband, Earl Edge; third husband, George F. Carman; brother, Burl Andrews, and sister-in-law, Lavonne Andrews.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon North and husband, Charley, of Blanchard, and Donna Prock and husband, Kenneth, of McAlester; grandchildren, Charla Uhles and husband, Rob, of Norman, Leigh Ann Rubertus and husband, Mark, of Stigler, and John Prock, of Atlanta, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Zac Uhles, of Norman, Tyler Fassino and wife, Megan, of McAlester, Lauren Page and husband, Garrett, of Oklahoma City, Austin Fassino and wife, Hope, of McAlester, and Megan Fassino, of St. Louis, Missouri; great-great-grandchild, Cora Leigh Page, of Oklahoma City; sister, Sandra Palmer and husband, Dan, of Greenwood, Arkansas; nieces and nephews, Greg Palmer and wife, Michelle, Carol Allen and husband, Donald, Rick Andrews and wife, Carolyn; step-children, George Carman Jr. and wife, Susan, Christy Kirby and husband, John, and other family members and friends.
