Brenda Jackson (Jack) Obituary
McAlester, Oklahoma - Brenda Lee Jackson (Angel), born on September 24, 1965, in Miami, Florida, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 60.
She was a prolific Smithsonian artist, both in painting and sculpture, as well as countless other media. Her work was part of her ministry. Her mission was to create sculptural scriptures and drench the Nation with the Word of God with images that cannot be forgotten. Her magnum opus was her larger-than-life sized bronze of Christ, the Lamb of God, with which she toured the country to show people Christ's love for them, and what he endured on the cross for their sake. She also completed the Broward County Law Enforcement Memorial honor guard sculptures, for Broward County, FL, consisting of 3 life-sized police officers and a Belgian Malenois working dog.
She also enjoyed spending time with her family, playing board and card games, participating in and planning community events through the McAlester Arts and Humanities Council and VFW Auxiliary, caring for her animals, and advancing the scientific community through her work with the Creation Evidence Museum of Texas. For many years she led the Broken Arrow Republicans and was Vice Chairman of the Pittsburg County Republicans. In the final chapter of her life, she took up her family's genealogy and was inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was very patriotic and enjoyed celebrating the great achievements of the United States of America.
She touched countless lives, and leaves behind a legacy cherished by many. Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Harry Jackson of McAlester, OK; mother Sandra Angelou-Kaplan of Gainesville, FL; brother Mark Crocker of Kissimmee, FL; sister Victoria Crocker of Gainesville, FL; son Todd Pitts and his wife Maria Luckert of Jenks, OK; daughter Jessica Angell of Tulsa, OK; son Eric Copeland of Broken Arrow, OK; and grandchildren Robert Pitts, Dresden Pitts and Alister Angell.
