Hartshorne, Okla. - Allen Dale Holloway, 74, of Hartshorne, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Wednesday, July 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester, with Pastor Michael Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery near Haywood. Pallbearers are Stephen Holloway, Ron Holloway, Nathan Holloway, Bryce Holloway, Josh Williams, and Bob Young. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Allen's nieces and cousins. The family meal will be served after the service at the McAlester Nazarene Church.

Allen Holloway was born in Garden City, Kansas to Allen George "Buck" Holloway and Pauline Lexie (Schiller) Holloway. His family came to the Hartshorne area when he was 8 years old. He finished high school here and attended Vo-Tech, before going to work for the city of McAlester in the fleet division. He became fleet manager and was responsible for all the maintenance on city vehicles. He retired after 42 years of service to the city. Not only did he enjoy working with cars on the job, but also at home, where he liked trading and dealing with vehicles, and just about anything else. He was a member of the McAlester Nazarene Church.

Allen is survived by nieces, Darla Williams and husband Josh, and Mariah Holloway; nephews, Nathan Holloway and Bryce Holloway; 2 brothers, Stephen Holloway and wife Pam, and Ron Holloway; an aunt, Laverne Holloway; and a special friend and caregiver, his angel on earth, Nancy James. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law, Reba Holloway.
