Thomas Pope Jr., 51, of McAlester, died Tuesday morning, March 21, 2017.
The family will greet friends at Bishop Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be at Monday, March 27, at 10 a.m. at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Steve Eldridge officiating. Burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery.
He was born on August 5, 1965, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Thomas Sr. and Jeanie Kennedy Pope. He attended grade schools in Omaha, Nebraska, and then moved to McAlester where he graduated from McAlester High School. He went to college at Grayson College in north Texas.
Thomas married Marti Alexander on Jan. 19, 2003, at Lone Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Scipio.
Tom was a heat and air man all of his life. He worked in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as McAlester. In 2006, he and wife purchased Efficiency Air in McAlester.
He was a member of Scipio Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marti Pope, of the home; two children, Jessie Pope and Louis Pope, both of the home; four step-children, Kendall Duke, of McAlester, Blake Horton, of Hartshorne, Bobby Horton, of Lawton, and Kayla Beauchamp, of Hartshorne; eight brothers and sisters, Frank Scarpello, of Denver, Colorado, John Scarpello, of Omaha, Nebraska, Mary Ann Scarpello, of Broken Arrow, Michelle Dunham, of Silom Springs, Cindy Offerman, of Omaha, Nebraska, Mike Pope, of McAlester, Bill Pope, of McAlester, and Mike Cominoli, of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Danny Pope, Kolten Pope, Bella Pope and KodiLen Pope; his mother, Jeanie Cominoli, of Omaha, Nebraska, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Pope Sr.
