Sabina Bernardi, born Sept. 12, 1934, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, in Lexington, Kentucky.
She graduated from McAlester High School in 1952. She taught German and English at high schools and colleges.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Bernardi, in 2015; birth father, Ralph Thompson; parents, James and Maggie Noble, and former husband, Ray Bernardi.
She is survived by a son, John Bernardi, of Lexington; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Eric Lancaster, of Lexington; grandson and wife, Chris and Kelli Nowlin, of Lexington; great-grandson, Axle Nowlin, of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Kelley Bernardi, of St. Louis, Missouri; grandson, Hunter Bernardi, of St. Louis; beloved sisters, Margaret Olinger, Steve and Norma Bernardi, all of McAlester, and Barbara Bernardi; loved nieces and nephews; dear friends, Tom Young and Russ Hauver, and many others.
She is much loved and will be very missed.
