Rosemary Duff, 78, of Krebs, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Rosemary was born on Aug. 12, 1938, to George E. Watson and Viola (Helton) Watson, in McAlester. She graduated from McAlester High School with the Class of 1957.
On May 25, 1958, she married Louis Charles Duff Jr.
Rosemary attended beauty college in Muskogee and became a licensed beautician by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology. She later began her career with her husband, Louis, in the family business, the Isle of Capri Restaurant, where she spent over 45 years dedicated to her family and customers before retiring in 2008.
Rosemary was the name she was known by many, but Granny was the name she was known by most. Her many grandchildren were a very special part of her life and she fully embraced and loved her role as a grandmother. She was "Granny" to all of their friends also and always had a home full of children. She loved her family, friends and people in general. She enjoyed visiting with all of her friends and customers at the Isle of Capri. Rosemary also loved her pets, playing bingo and everything Elvis Presley.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter-in-law, Julie Duff, of Krebs; sisters, Lee Rogers and husband, Terry, of McAlester, and Thelma Williams, of McAlester; sister-in-law, RoseAnn Robertson, of Krebs; Steve Giacomo, of Krebs; grandchildren, Christopher Duff, Megan Duff, Todd Wilson, Melissa Duff, Anthony Duff, Trenten Duff, and Kaylen Forehand; great-grandchildren, Sydni Quinton, Jaxen Duff, McKinley Duff, Damien Wilson, Angel Duff, Isiah Duff, Matthew Duff, Aorion Duff, Jamisen Duff, Landen Duff, Asher Forehand, Jake Forehand, and Rylee Forehand, and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Charles Duff Jr.. of Krebs; parents, George E. Watson and Viola Garvin. of McAlester; brother, Charles G. Watson; sons, Rockie Duff, Robbie Duff and James Duff; granddaughter, Autumn Duff, and brother-in-law, Don Robertson.
A Rosary will be recited today, Feb. 7, at Chaney's Memorial Chapel led by Deacon Bill Anderson.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church celebrated by the Rev. Kingsley George-Obilonu. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Giacomo, Todd Wilson, Chris Duff, Trenton Duff, Anthony Duff and Jonathan Lovelady.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Peters, Blaine Fields, Rob Stephens, Levi Brown and Chris Ayers.
