Ronald Dean Testa, 84, passed away peacefully at home on May 30, 2017. He was born February 21, 1933 in Richville, Oklahoma to Angelo and Mary Testa. He was the oldest of four children. He grew up in Richville and Krebs. He attended Krebs Public Schools and graduated from McAlester High School. He attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he received an education degree. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He resided in McAlester where he had a clothing store before getting into the car business. He started Testa Auto Sales in 1965 and retired in 2005. Ronald was a Boys and Girls Club football coach and served on the board for many years. He was also on the board of the McAlester Country Club and McAlester Regional Hospital, where he served for twelve years. His priority above all else was his children and grandchildren, with whom he spent all his free time. Ronald is survived by his wife, Betty Testa; sons, Martin Testa and daughter-in-law, Christine, Ron Testa, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Dawn; daughter, Chris Testa; six grandchildren: Dr. Pete Testa, Erik Testa, Madison Testa, Jackson Testa, and Jenny Martin; one great-granddaughter, Morgan Martin; sister, Rose Sandidge and her husband, Don; numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Mary Testa; step-mother, Verna Testa; brother, Joe Testa; and sister, Margie Monroe. At Ronald's request, his body will be donated to University of Oklahoma for the advancement of science. A memorial gathering will be held 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday June 2, 2017 at Bishop Chapel of Memories, where the family will greet friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of McAlester at 301 East Chadick Park.
