Paul Wayne Wilson, 77, passed away in his Mustang home on Sunday, March 12, 2017.
Paul was born in Limestone Gap on Nov. 17, 1939, in his grandfather's home.
He moved to Oklahoma City with his family in 1953, attending school and graduating from Central High School in 1959.
Paul served in the United States Air Force from June 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1964.
He worked for a time as a printer in Denver, Colorado, until his father's passing called him home to help his family in 1966.
An accident in 1969, while working as a welder, caused permanent paralysis from his waist down. Through many operations, Paul maintained his independent lifestyle, while caring for his mother until her death in 1997. He shared his home with his sister until his passing.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, James.
He is survived by two siblings, Stephen Wilson, of Midwest City, and Joyce Anderson, of Mustang. Also by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Paul's family wishes that donations be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
