Lynna Carriger, 71, of Arrowhead Estates on Lake Eufaula, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in Tulsa.
Visitation will be today, March 10, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brumley-Mills Chapel. Burial will follow at Crowder Cemetery.
Lynna Carriger was born on March 3, 1946, in Hugo, to her parents, Troy Lee and Mary Louise (Pattillo) Brawner. She was raised and educated in Hugo, graduating from Hugo High School.
After her education, she moved to Oklahoma City. It was there she met and married John W. Carriger on May 12, 1967.
After marriage, the family made their home in Del City until 1986, when they relocated to Arrowhead Estates at Canadian. Mrs. Carriger worked for Twin Cities Concrete from 1992 until she retired in 2012. After Twin Cities she worked for a time at Lowes.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Ramon Torres, of Paris, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Stephens, Nely Torres, Santiago Torres, Betsy Torres and Jazek Creacy, and a sister, Saundra Gilmore, of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Carriger, and son, Charles Thomas Creacy.
