At the age of 59, our dearly beloved Jan Louise Malone, passed away peacefully.
She was born in Newburg, Germany to Clyde and Dorothy Malone. After moving back to the United States, they lived in McAlester, where she attended grade school and high school. She also attended East Central and The University of Oklahoma, where she earned a fashion merchandising degree.
She worked for Walden Books, Branteno Books and George Washington University.
After she left the corporate world, she managed a dance studio, which was a childhood passion and dream.
Having survived breast cancer and other health problems, she moved back to Tulsa in 2010, where she loved shopping and visiting with the public at Peppers Grill in Utica Square.
Jan loved to travel the world and frequently visited Paris, France, which was her favorite place on earth.
Survivors include her brother, Mike Malone and wife, Sherry Morgan, daughters, Amitti Morgan-Garrison and family, Ashley Morgan-Dick and family, Amber Morgan-Wyrick and family; cousins, Mary Scott Snyder, the Malone families, Thompson family and Kersey family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Malone; her mother, Dorothy Malone; brothers, Jimmy Malone and Butch Malone; grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Mike Malone's house, 13056 Burlingame Avenue in Oklahoma City. Her ashes will be spread in McAlester at a later date.
