Gloria Jean Adams, 70, of McAlester, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at her residence.
Gloria was born on July 28, 1946, to Roy and Lucille (Botts) Ellis.
She worked for a number of years as a house keeper in a local nursing home.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammie Sparks and husband, Anthony; grandson, Tommy Mitchell and wife, Shyanne, and great-grandson, Jackson Mitchell, all of McAlester. Gloria is also survived by three sisters, Wanda Bigelow, of McAlester, Carol Argo, of Inman, South Carolina, and Edith Chapman, of McAlester, and two brothers, Charles Ellis, of Checotah, and Ron Ellis and wife, Debbie, of McAlester. She was also survived by a very dear friend, Betty Jo Ellis, of Blanco.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; an infant son, Tommy, and her daughter, Annette.
Gloria Jean was a wonderful mother, loving sister and caring grandmother and was loved by all.
A viewing will be held Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.at Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home.
