Daisy Mae's Story
Daisy Mae Dean, 86, of Mead, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017, in Durant.
Daisy was born on Jan. 29, 1931, in Adamson, to Charlie Hunter and Alice (Davis) Hunter. Daisy worked outside the home in many capacities, however, her greatest joy was caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as a homemaker. She was considered a "perfect angel" by her family who loved mischief.
She is survived by four children, Jo Ellen Constancio, of Pocola, Michael Dean and Teri, of California, Kathy Waite, of California, and Sherrill Wilkins and Ronnie, of Kiowa; 10 grandchildren, Bonnie Riggs and Billy, of Mead, Alice Constancio and Steven Ta, Mija Salgado and Manuel, Michael Constancio and Tammy, Holly Cantrell, Maranda Waite and Casey, David Dean, Charlsey Weidner, Kenneth Blessing and Christina Blessing; 17 great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Baker; father, Charlie Hunter; brother, Bob Johns, and cousin, Johnny Green.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at Adamson Cemetery. Interment will follow.
Pallbearers will be Michael Dean, Oliverio Gonzales, Michael Constancio, William Riggs, David Dea, Jonathan Salgado, Kenneth Blessing and Steven Ta.
