Christopher Robert Burow, 44, of McAlester, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at The King's House with the Rev. Felix Waller officiating.
He was born on Sept. 4, 1972, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to Robert and Deborah (Farden) Burow. He attended school in Plymouth, Michigan, and moved to McAlester in 2001.
Christopher worked with his family at What About Bob's Restaurant and was currently a co-owner. Christopher married Gayla Ann Karcher on July 21, 2001, in McAlester.
His family was very important to him and he spent time with them every day. They would also gather and he would play his guitar with the others singing along. Christopher also enjoyed playing golf, but one of his top priorities was working out and eating healthy. He was an avid Michigan Wolverines fan.
Christopher attended The King's House.
He is survived by his wife, Gayla Burow, of the home; his children, Carolanne Greer and husband, J.W., of Travis AFB, California, Danielle Needham, Dylan Burow and wife, Carly, and Chris Burow and wife, Hanna, all of McAlester, and Jeremy Labon, of Wyandotte, Michigan, and five grandchildren, Charli, Westin, Eden, Wyatt and Lincoln.
He is also survived by his mother, Debbie Farden, of McAlester; sisters, Mary Tsadi and husband, Rob, of Brownsville, Texas, and Olivia Pizano and husband, Thomas, of McAlester, also brothers, Zac Burow and wife, Neeley, and Sam Burow, all of McAlester, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Robert Burow, and his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Thelma Farden.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Curtis, David Green, Paul Burow, Brandon Serletic, Rocky Johnson and Alex Swoboda.
