Christina Kay Brown, 48, of Stuart, died on Sunday, June 18, 2017.
The family will greet friends today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bishop Chapel of Memories.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, at Stuart High School Gymnasium with the Rev. Cecil Day officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Merrell, Josh Kirkwood, Levi Wimberly, Lane Wimberly, Chance Chapman and Jimmy Cooper.
Christina was born on May 8, 1969, in Ada, to Jack and Janet Watters Merrell. She attended Konawa Public School and graduation from Konawa High School with the Class of 1987.
Christina married Shannon Brown on March 13, 1991, in McAlester. She worked as a rural route carrier for the post office for about 10 years.
Christina was a member of the Stuart Free Will Baptist Church.
She enjoyed sports of any kind and loved watching it on TV.
She was survived by her husband, Shannon Brown, of the home; daughter, Ashley Brown, of Stuart; son, Justin Brown, of Stuart; her parents, Jack and Janet Merrell, of Konawa; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Brad Roberts, of St. Louis, Missouri; brother, Paul Merrell, of Stratford; father-in-law, Benny Brown; a step-father-in-law, Marlin Guffey, of Stuart, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Rolonda Guffey.
