Carole Howard, 73, of Tulsa, died Friday, March 10, 2017, in Tulsa.
Rosary was held on Sunday, March 12, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hartshorne.
Mass of Christian burial was Monday, March 13, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Bruce Brosnahan officiating. Burial was at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Carole Howard was born on July 11, 1943, in Hartshorne, to Michael Jr. and Lily (Donati) Konsure. She grew up there and graduated from Hartshorne High School.
After graduation, she accepted a position with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the crime records division in Washington, D.C. Congressman Carl Albert, who later became Speaker of the House, offered her a position in his Capitol Hill office in Washington.
Carole married Glenn Howard, whom she met while working with the FBI. They had one son, Jason, and she accepted and raised two stepsons, Jeffrey and Kevin, who she raised as her own.
After resigning her position with Speaker Albert, tennis became a major passion in Carole's life and she excelled on the tennis court. She became a seasoned traveler, having lived in several states, as well as London, England, Dubai, UAE and Copenhagen, Denmark, and traveled to more than 20 other countries throughout the world.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn Howard; three sons, Jason, Jeffrey and Kevin; her mother, Lily Konsure; brother, Michael, and sister, Linda.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Konsure Jr., and a sister, Marianne.
Pallbearers were Glenn Howard, Jason Howard, Jeff Howard, Michael Konsure, Brent Boatright, Kyle Howard and Christian Howard.
