Bobbie Jacobs Parsons, 89, died peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
Funeral services are being handled by Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas. Graveside services will be held at Kendall Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22.
Bobbie was born on Jan. 4, 1928, in Hartman, Arkansas, to Harlan and Mae (Morelock) Jacobs. She lived in Dallas, Texas, as a young woman before returning to Arkansas. Bobbie lived in Benton, Arkansas, and worked at Benton Savings and Loan for nearly 20 years before retiring.
After retirement, she relocated to McAlester, where her son, Vinson, and his family lived. She remained there until her passing.
Bobbie loved gardening, grew beautiful flowers and listened to and played gospel music on her piano. Her greatest joy of all were her grandchildren. She was very involved in her family's lives and was greatly loved.
Bobbie is survived by her son, Vinson Parsons, and daughter-in-law, Dawn; grandsons, Matthew Brimer and wife, Stacey, of Moore, Jacob Parsons, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Joshua Parsons, of McAlester. She also has two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Riley Brimer, of Moore.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Mae Jacobs, and her youngest son, Steven Mark Parsons.
