Billie Joe Eller, 89, passed away at 1:35 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Cedar Crest Rehabilitation Center in Sunnyvale, California.
He was born March 19, 1928, in McAlester, to Clarence and Dorothy Eller. He married Ruby Maxine McDougal on Sept. 13. 1948.
Surviving is his wife, Ruby Eller; two children, James Michael Eller and wife, Justine Davidson Eller, of Belmont, California, and Lynda Eller Sunzeri and husband, Steve Sunzeri, of Rancho Cordova California; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends on Monday evening, July 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 18, at 10 a.m. at Bishop Chapel of Memories in McAlester with the the Rev. Jamie Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester for those who would like to attend. Military honors will be provided by Robert B. Thomas Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1098.
Pallbearers will be Bob Smith, Jack McDougal, Bob Bailey, Timothy Bocher, Barry Eller and Dennis Peckio.
