Thomas Edwin LeFlore


Thomas Edwin LeFlore, 66, of McAlester, died on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at his home.
Family night will be on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Chapel. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy LeFlore, Darren LeFlore, Nashoba Million, Irving Cole, Charlie Robinson and William Cearley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Pate and Thomas' nephews.
Thomas LeFlore was born on February 5, 1953, in Coalgate, to Herman and Mary (Jones) Leflore. He moved to McAlester with his family when he was a child and as he grew up he lived in Tulsa until he made his home back in McAlester for over 40 years.
He and Katherine Anderson were married on June 25, 1973, in Lawrence, Kansas. Thomas worked as a truck driver making deliveries for T.H. Rogers Lumber Company for over 20 years. He then went to work for Choctaw Casino, where he also worked for over 20 years.
Thomas is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth Moore, and Jennifer and Timothy Beckman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathy; a daughter, Kristin; three brothers and one sister.

I knew Tom and Cathy only for a short period of time, but my life is better because of their friendship. We shared some special times together and they will always be thought of fondly and will always be in my heart. God Bless the family because I know Tom will surely be missed. RIP
