Syble's Story

Syble Juanita (Coop) Stone, 96, of McAlester, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018, in Tulsa.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at North Town Church of Christ officiated by Mr. Jim Kelley and Mr. Douglas Stone. Burial will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Brewer, Tim Murray, Robert Carey, Richard Peckio, Ryan Crabtree and George Marcangeli.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Weeks, Oben Weeks, Mike Maffeo, Frank Ball, Randy Hughes and Joe Ware.
Syble was born to George W. and Gladys (Hamilton) Coop on September 4, 1921, in Scipio. She graduated high school and attended college.
She married Kenneth G. Stone and he preceded her in death in June 1989.
Syble was a homemaker and she enjoyed quilting.
She was baptized believer in Jesus Christ and a member of North Town Church of Christ and later a member of Glenpool Church of Christ.
She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Stone; daughter, Molly Cheryl Stone; sister, Vera Mae Durant, and brother, Dempsey Coop.
Syble is survived by her brother, Billy Joe Coop, of McAlester; four children, Joe Stone and wife, Tammy, of Cheyenne, Penny Hall, of Sapulpa, Doug Stone and wife, Debbie, of Longmont, Colorado, and David Stone, of Golden, Colorado; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.
