Sharon Kay (Young) McDaniel, 62, of McAlester, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at her home.
Family will receive friends today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
Services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester. Burial will follow at Choate Prairie Cemetery in Indianola.
Sharon was born on Nov. 22, 1955, in McAlester, to Howard and Florene (Russell) Young. She married Paul McDaniel on Sept. 17, 1981, in Poteau.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and had a passion for quilting. She and her husband owned and operated Marilyn's Restaurant for 26 years.
She is survived by her husband, Paul McDaniel; children and spouses, Melanie Clark and husband, Greg, Brian West, Paula Vargas, Dina (McDaniel) Greer and husband, Walt, Dawn Moran; grandchildren, Alix Vargas, Colton Vargas, Nastassja Vargas, Caleb Silas, Leah Silas, Mikey Miller and wife, Megan, Dusty Platt, and Matthew Clark; one great-grandchild, Cole Miller; two brothers, Ricky Young and Jeffery Young, and one sister, Debbie Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Florene Young; grandparents, Joseph and Sarah Young, and Ida and P.M. Russell, and one brother, Ronnie Young.
Pallbearers include Jeff McDaniel, Dusty Platt, Mikey Miller, Gregory Young, Joey Young and Greg Clark.
Honorary pallbearers are Cole Miller and Matthew Clark.
