Ruth Elaine Breckenridge, 70, of McAlester, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at McAlester Regional Health Center.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Brumley-Mills Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Ruth Breckenridge was born on Dec. 4, 1946, in Savanna, Illinois, to Ralph and Doris (Beasley) Fulton. She grew up there and lived there until she moved to McAlester in January 1980.
She married Clarence H. Breckenridge on Dec. 24, 1980, in McAlester, and they have made their home here since then.
Ruth had worked at Komar, Taco Bell and Payless Shoes.
Her favorite activity was going to play bingo.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence H. Breckenridge, of the home; children, Ty Schildwachter, of Springfield, Missouri, and Waynola Warren, of Haileyville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Anita Fulton, of Fort Worth, Texas, Kevin and DeeDee Fulton, of Haltom City, Texas, Mark Fulton, of Washington, David and Sue Fulton, of Hanover, Illinois, and Gary Fulton, of Warren, Illinois; sisters and brother-in-law, Debi Cassidy, of Belton, Texas, Patty Kurth, of Hanover, Illinois, and Mary Jo and Don Olsen, of Hanover, Illinois; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl Jack Breckenridge, of Anderson, Missouri, Pat Boyd, of McAlester, and Phyllis and Hugh Streighthorst, of Ozark, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Doris Fulton; grandparents, John and Marjorie Beasley; three sons, Toby, Tim and Tom Schildwachter; a brother, Jeff Fulton, and her parents-in-law, Clarence and Dovie Breckenridge.
