Ronald D. Winningham, 68, of Krebs, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, in McAlester.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Jeremy Pullum.
Ronald was born on Oct. 26, 1949, in McAlester, to Marvin Stacey and Millie Winningham Nichols. He attended school in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School.
He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1969 to 1975 and earned the rank of staff sargent E-6.
Ronald was a union carpenter and worked all over the United States with commercial construction.
He married Kathy Palmer on April 23, 1977, in McAlester. They lived 17 years in San Diego, California, eight years in Las Vegas, Nevada, and they returned to McAlester in August 2010.
Survivors include, his wife, Kathy Winningham, of the home; sons, Charles Brett Winningham, of McAlester, and Brian David Pullum of McAlester; mother, Millie Nichols, of Krebs; brothers, Curtis Nichols, of Tulsa, and Mike Stacey, of Tulsa; sisters, Betty Ross, of Indianola, Pat Groves, of Indianola, and Kay Gibson, of Moore; grandchildren, Edyta Thomason, Jasmine Thomason, and Kaeya Thomason; son-in-law, Benjamin Calvert, of McAlester; daughter-in-law, Opal Winningham, of McAlester, and numerous other family members and friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Stacey; son, Ronald Clinton Winningham; step-father, Greg Nichols, and brothers, Richard Stacey and Dick Stacey.
