Rodney Lynn Kellogg, 57, of Pittsburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
The family will welcome friends at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home for visitation on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be on Monday, July 22, at 10 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Chapel of McAlester, officiated by the Rev. Steve Muncy and the Rev. Bruce Brannon. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Daisy.
Pallbearers are Kent Kellogg, Corey Kellogg, Matthew Turman, Russell Turman, Cole James and Jacob Shannon.
Rodney Kellogg was born on November 29, 1961, in Atoka, to Guy Elmer Jr. and Mattie Albertie (Williamson) Kellogg. He grew up in Daisy and married Denise Schiller Kellogg on November 14, 1991, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They moved to Pittsburg, where they have made their home for over 25 years.
Rodney worked at the McAlester Army Ammunition Base as an explosive's operator. In his spare time, Rodney enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Stryklyn Rae.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Denise, of the home; a daughter, Kaylin Kellogg, of McAlester; a son, Taylor Kellogg, of McAlester; a granddaughter, Stryklyn Rae Caldwell; his mother, Mattie Albertie Kellogg, of Daisy, and three brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Bea Kellogg, of Stringtown, Owen and Janie Kellogg, of Daisy, and Chris and Marcia Kellogg, of Daisy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Elmer Kellogg Jr., and grandparents, Guy Elmer Kellogg Sr. and Grace Furr Kellogg, and Frank Williamson and Ola Thomas Williamson.
