Robert Rhoades, 66, of Adamson, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 10, at First Baptist Church in Hartshorne with Pastor Daniel Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Adamson Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.
Robert Rhoades was born on May 10, 1951, in San Jose, California, to Rex and Nevado (Monroe) Rhoades. He married Joyce Turman on March 30, 1971, in Tonopah, Nevada. He work for 27 years at Meeco.
He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 20 in Krebs.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and playing the guitar.
He was a member of Cambria Baptist Church.
Robert is survived by his wife, Joyce Rhoades, of the home in Adamson; children and spouses, Charlene and John Grove, of Hartshorne, and Robert Jr. and Misty Rhoades, of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren, Jerry Alexander, Zachary Alexander and Grace York, of Hartshorne, and Kaitlyn Rhoades and Gracie Rhoades, of Midland, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rex Jr. and Brenda Rhoades, of Mansfield, Arkansas, and Roy and Brenda Rhoades, of Alma, Arkansas, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Darlene and Ken Evans, of Muldrow, and Debbie and Donnie Hamilton, of Mansfield, Arkansas.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Nevado Rhoades; granddaughter, Nevado Alexander, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walt and Emmajean Turman.
Active pallbearers will be Jerry Alexander III, Zachary Alexander, John Grove, Jesse Rhoades, Brian Cunningham and Rick Zachary.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gaile Shannon, Rodney Hugle and Leon Avery.
