Randy Raburn, 63, of McAlester, died on Tuesday evening, Sept. 12, 2017, in McAlester.
The family will greet friends today at Bishop Funeral Home between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Main & Oklahoma Church of Christ. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiating will be by Red Coleman and Colbey Clagg.
Active pallbearers will be Jerry Williams, Jim Kirkpatrick, Mike Raburn, Nicholas Raburn, Jimmy Kirkpatrick and Joe Daniels.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Finger, Mike McLendon, Ty Morton and Steve Williams.
Randy was born on Nov. 23, 1953, in McAlester, to Ted Ross and Mary Jo Wortham Raburn. Randy attended schools in Kansas City, Kansas, and graduated high school from there as well.
He moved back to McAlester when he was in his 20s. He married Sandy Sanders on Aug. 6, 2005, in McAlester.
He worked as a janitor at the Main & Oklahoma Church of Christ, Wynn Dixie and then at McAlester Regional Health Center.
He was a longtime member of the Main & Oklahoma Church of Christ.
Randy really enjoyed bowling, fishing and being in the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Raburn, of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Steve Williams, of McAlester; a brother, Mike Raburn, of Amarillo, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Deena and Jerry Williams, of Madill; grandchildren, Ashleigh Green and Crystal Green, of Durant; a son, Jim Kirkpatrick, of Hartshorne; a grandson, Jimmy Kirkpatrick, of Hartshorne; sisters-in-law and spouse, Deena Morton, of Broken Arrow, and Tammie and Joe Finger, of McAlester, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents.
