Pauline E. (Shuman) Kinyon, 90, of McAlester, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at her residence.
Pauline was born on July 4, 1926, in Wagoner, to Charles and Pearl (Culwell) Shuman. She graduated from McAlester High School in 1945.
Pauline married Max E. Kinyon on Aug. 25, 1948, in McAlester. She worked as a secretary for the Old McAlester Stockyards, Duncan Peanut Company and Moncrief Feed and Seed.
She was a lifetime member of Frink Baptist Church. She loved her dog and companion "Buster."
Pauline is survived by a son, Terry Kinyon and wife, Pam, of McAlester; grandson, Joseph Kinyon, of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law, Bill Kinyon and wife, Gail, of Clovis, New Mexico; nieces and nephews, Lee Ann Sherrill and husband, Ron Brown, of Hartshorne, Laurie Walker and husband, Wade, of Amarillo, Texas, Susie Thomason and husband, Seth, of Amarillo, Texas, Mona Bryant, of Clovis, New Mexico, Melinda Sandefur and husband, Buddy, of Hartshorne, Jane Sherrill, of Hartshorne, Dean Bryant, of Clovis, New Mexico, and Buddy Sherrill and wife, Angie, of Sherman, Texas; numerous other family members and friends, and her caregivers, Rebecca Gomez, Patti Boyd and Helen Welch.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Pearl Shuman; husband, Max E. Kinyon, in 2013; son, Wayne Kinyon, in 1988; two brothers; one sister, and a nephew, Buddy Sherrill.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, April 14, at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by the Rev. Monty Thompson and Chaplain Kerry Kirkhart. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester.
Pallbearers will be Odis Trammell, Steve Stobaugh, Rick Franklin, Ed Griffin, Butch Mellor and Rodrigo Briones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Trammell, Rusty Turner, Tom Clawson or Bob Stobaugh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frink Baptist Church, 1830 South George Nigh Expressway, McAlester, OK, 74501.
