Patrick Taylor Goodwin II was born on February 20, 1994, to Patrick and Kimberly Goodwin in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Taylor lived his early years in Ada, Oklahoma. After his father's death he, his mother and twin sister moved to McAlester, Oklahoma where he attended Krebs Public School until fifth grade. He then attended McAlester Public Schools through high school. He had attended Oklahoma State University, where he was a sophomore. Taylor had moved to South Florida this past spring and had recently began working for Principles Recovery Center as an addiction specialist/counselor.
Taylor was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved wakeboarding and going to the lake. He loved spending time at the beach. Taylor loved his German Shepherd, Roxy!
Taylor had a smile that would light up a room. He had an infectious laugh and shared them both quite often with those he loved as well as those he had just met in this life.
Taylor loved to go to the gym and work out daily and he loved long distance running. Taylor loved to live each day to the fullest of his ability. He loved to cook for friends and family. He could throw down in the kitchen with the best. Taylor loved life.
Taylor is survived by his mother and step-father, Kimberly Goodwin-Van Tuyl and Charles Van Tuyl. His twin sister, Chloe Alexandria Goodwin and nephews Brantley Patrick Goodwin-May and Espn Wesley May; his grandmother Sylvia Moody; his special friend Brooke Irish and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Taylor Goodwin and grandparents, Glenn Moody; Jim and Betty Goodwin.
The family will greet friends and family, Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Main and Oklahoma Church of Christ, McAlester, Oklahoma.
Honorary pallbearers are Brian Goodwin, Cash Goodwin, Trap Goodwin, Jason Goodwin, Jarrod Owen, Kaleb Swboni, Josiah Owen, Jebediah Owen, Jackson Wilcox, Grayson Wroten, Tommy Ray Bruton, Brooks Thompson, Drew House, Vijay Anant, Zac May and all friends who became his brothers while growing up together.
