Michael Wayne Pullum, our sweet son, great brother and loyal friend, departed this life on February 13, 2018, at the age of 70. He is reunited with our loved ones there in heaven.
A family and friends visitation will be held today, February 16, at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17, at Brumley-Mills Chapel of McAlester. Jason Dunn will be the officiant.
Michael Pullum was born on March 6, 1947, in McAlester, to his parents, Olen A. and Laura Faye (McCullar) Pullum. He was raised in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School. He was a lifelong resident of McAlester.
He was retired from McAlester Regional Hospital where he worked in nutrition services.
He was a member of New Haven Baptist Bible Church.
He was an avid coin collector, knife collecting and bead working, recycler. He was also a member of Sons of The Legionaires.
He is survived by one brother, David Pullum and wife, Rhonda, of Fort Myers, Florida. Nephews and nieces that he loved with all his heart, Brian Pullum, of McAlester, Jeffrey and wife, Nuk Pullum, of Flower Mound, Texas, Jeremy Pullum, of Flower Mound, Texas, Shawn and wife, Dr. Amanda Pullum, of Monterrey, California, and Ben Pullum, of McAlester. Great-niece, Abby Pullum, of Fort Worth, Texas. Great-nephews, Hunter and Forrest Parkhurst, and Joshua Pullum, all of Fort Worth, Texas. Sisters-in-law, Shirley Pullum, of Flower Mound, Texas, and Kathy Winningham, of Krebs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Laura Faye Pullum; one brother, Jerry Pullum, and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Winngham.
