Mary "Luan" Anderson, 76, of Kiowa, died Saturday, Sept 16. 2017, in Ada.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Bishop Chapel of Memories with burial in Kiowa Cemetery. Officiating will be by the Rev. Dahl Adams. The family will greet friends at Bishop Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Michael Willis, Daniel Willis, James Holder, Dustin Phillips, Josh Harrod and Todd Anderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Anderson, Trumen Anderson, Ronnie Anderson, Dahl Adams, R.J. Phillips and John Mussa
Luan was born on Dec. 26, 1940, in Henryetta, to Maurice and Velma Mordecai Mussa. Her father was in the agriculture department and traveled all over so she attended schools in many places and graduated from Atoka High School.
Luan married Jerry Anderson on Aug. 26, 1997, in Oklahoma City.
She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sewing, knitting, making decorations, and her family was her life.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Anderson, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandee and James Holder, of Pittsburg; sons, Buddy Neuhauser and spouse, Stacey, of Bridge Creek, Ray Hill and spouse, Misty, of Choctaw, and John Hill, of Bridge Creek; two step-daughters, Jody Morgan, of Yukon, and Katherine Havard, of St. Louis, Missouri; step-son, Todd Anderson, of Chickasha; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother and spouse, John Mussa and Maria, of San Antonio, Texas, and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends and loved ones.
Luan was preceded in death by her parents.
