Lynda Kay Minyard, 67, of Alderson, died on Thursday, March 9, 2017, in Tulsa.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today, March 12, at Bishop Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 13, at 10 a.m. at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.
Kay was born July 29, 1949, in McAlester, to George Robert and Ora Lee (Nash) Dawson. She graduated from McAlester High School in the Class of 1967.
She worked as a machinist for Oklahoma Aerotronics in Hartshorne for a number of years until its closing.
Kay married Gary Minyard on Dec. 20, 1974, in Alderson. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and attended Northside Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her son, David Roth, of Alderson; daughter, Kerri Boyanton and husband, Josh, of McAlester; grandchildren, Ethan Boyanton, Vance Roth and wife, Dani, and Darci Pierson and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Logen Pierson, Randall Pierson, Madyson Pierson, Ruger Pierson and Gavin Roth. She is also survived by her mother, Ora Lee Dawson; brother, Gordan Dawson and wife, Sherry, of Sand Springs; sister, Karisa Hattey and husband, Barny, of Lone Jack, Missouri; niece, Hailey Lande and husband, Matt, and her children, Haedin, Alex, Graysen and Kendall Lande, all of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and her mother-in-law, Bernice Minyard, of McAlester.
Kay was preceded in death by her father, George Dawson; husband, Gary Minyard, and father-in-law, Onnie Minyard.
