Lorraine Doris (Pratti) Bond, 67, of McAlester, died December 23, 2017, in Tulsa.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday December 27, 2017, at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by the Rev. Leonard Higgins. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Lorraine was born to Etra and Doris (Church) Pratti November 28, 1950, in Middleboro, Massachusetts. She grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from Rayham-Bridgewater High School. Lorraine met Rex Bond in California, where she worked as a nanny, and after they were married they moved to McAlester where they settled and raised a family. She worked in the craft and fabric department at Ben Franklin for many years and enjoyed helping people find just the right supplies to complete their projects. She also loved to sew clothes for her boys. At the time of her death she was employed at McAlester Regional Health Center in the Supply and Purchasing Dept., where she had worked for 26 years. She enjoyed the people she worked with and counted them among her closest friends. Lorraine was a diligent and hard working employee and cared very much about doing a good job in her work, everyone always had a kind word to say about her at MRHC. Lorraine enjoyed reading and she loved her grandchildren more than anything. Though separated by great distance, she was very connected to her brothers and sisters in the South and on the East Coast, and was very proud of her Massachusetts heritage and visited the Boston area as often as she could. Lorraine will be remembered as having a strong will and a great love of her family, she persevered over cancer recently and fought hard through her other health concerns, she never gave up.
Lorraine is survived by: sons: John Bond and wife, Elizabeth, of Broken Arrow, Justin Bond and wife, Niki, of McAlester; grandchildren: Katy Bond, Johnna Bond, Jayden Bond, all of Broken Arrow; and Allison Bond, of McAlester; brothers: Joey Pratti, of Brockton, Massachusetts, and Jimmy Pratti, of Bourne, Massachusetts.
