Lonnie "Dale" Crawley, 53, of McAlester, died Friday, May 11, 2018, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Chaney's Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Jarrod Peterson officiating. The burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Parent, Joey Young, Kevin Crawley, Jerry Smith, David Tipton and Brandon Wilson.
Dale was born on August 9, 1964, in Bakersville, California, to Lonnie and Margaret (Morman) Crawley. The family moved to Oklahoma where he grew up and graduated from Savanna High School. Lonnie married and had two daughters.
Dale started working with Bill Vicars at Vicars Body Shop in Krebs where he ran the body shop with Bill for many years. He received additional training in Dallas, Texas, at the Advanced Paint School. He then moved to Tulsa and worked as a paint and body repair man.
In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing and hunting. One of his greatest past-times, was just sitting around the table with friends and family telling "stories". He was a loving father and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Crawley, of Kiowa, and Laynee Crawley, of McAlester; three grandchildren, Julian Glenn, Jaycee Glenn, and Paisley Tedrick; mother, Margaret Crawley, of McAlester; brothers, Rodney Crawley and Mark Crawley; aunt, Patsy Lott, of Tannehill; special cousin, Sherry Hernandez, of Tannehill; dearest friend, Robby Haynes, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Crawley.
The family will greet friends today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home.
