Kimberly Dawn Ross, 48, of McAlester, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at McAlester Regional Health Center.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 15, at 10 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester.
Kimberly Ross was born on September 13, 1969, in Dallas, Texas, to Robert Leon and Anita Sue (Harris) Ross. The family moved to Savanna when Kim was young and she grew up there and graduated from Savanna High School. She then attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
She returned to McAlester where she spent most of her time helping care for elderly or sick family members and helped raise all her nieces and nephews.
Kim's passion in life was caring for others, mainly children, so she opened and operated her own day care center for several years.
Kim is survived by her parents, Bob and Anita Ross, of McAlester; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Sean Ross, of Victoria, Texas, and Patrick and Krissy Ross, of McAlester, and nieces and nephews, Heather, Ethan, Khayli, Emersyn, Jennifer and Collin.
