Judy Stephens, 68, of Kiowa, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, in Tulsa.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m. at Kiowa Cemetery Pavilion officiated by Pastor Kenny Morrow.
Pallbearers will be Chance Stephens, Randy Powell, Johnny Powell, James Cearley, Jennings Powell and Jim Cearley.
Judy Stephens was born on Dec. 29, 1948, in McAlester, to Lester and Margie (Hobbs) Batts. She grew up in Kiowa and had lived there all her life.
She started her work career as a beautician in Kiowa, then went to work for the Phipps-Murphy Greenhouse in Kiowa for over 20 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed growing flower gardens at home and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pittsburg.
Judy is survived by her husband, Tom Stephens; six children, Chance and Marci Stephens, Randy and Rachel Powell, Johnny and Brenda Powell, Jodi and Jesse Marston Stephens, Shelly and Jerry Clayton, and James and Rachel Cearley; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald and Carolyn Batts; a sister, Bobbie and Dan Cearley, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends.
