Joann L. (Hardin) Williamson


Joann L. (Hardin) Williamson, 92, of McAlester, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019 in Oceanside, Calif. at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family.
Joann was born in Hartshorne on Sept. 16, 1926 to James W. Hardin and Nellie B. (Parsons)-(Gorham) Hardin. She was the youngest of six children in a blended family, all preceded her in death; Walter Gorham, John Gorham, Clara M. (Gorham) Brady, James W. Hardin, II, and Woodrow W. Hardin.
Joann was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Charles Williamson; her two sons, Charles Michael Williamson and James Thomas Williamson. She leaves behind one daughter, Sara Dianne (Williamson) Goddard; daughters-in-law, Lynn L. Reiterman-Williamson and Susie Taylor-Williamson; grandchildren, Christopher Scott Goddard, Christina Suzanne Goddard, Charles Michael Williamson, Jr., Kelly Lee Reiterman-Williamson, Marian Michelle Williams, Kevin James Williamson, Jason Scott Williamson, Simone Dreischmeyer, John D. Bond, III and Stephanie Bond-Matteon; great grandchildren, Samuel R. Esparza, Warren D. Hoekstra, Nikki Williamson-Venable, Megan Williamson, Joseph Micele, Shawn Williams, Averi Jo Williamson, Jensyn Taylor Williamson; great great grandsons, Elijah Venable and Colton, Jaxon and Sawyer Dreischmeyer.
Her hobbies and memberships included: First Christian Church, Daughter of Mason, Eastern Star; and she enjoyed sewing, gardening and dancing. She worked as a realtor for Nixon Realtors in McAlester and purchased, remodeled and sold 17 homes from 1950 to 1998 and built a B & B at Elm Point on Lake Eufaula. She had lived in Hartshorne, McAlester, Midwest City and Oklahoma City.
Joann will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Masonic section, next to her husband, at a later date.
