Jimmy Lee Cooper, 47, of McAlester, died Saturday, April 28, 2018, near Longtown.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at Cowboy Church with Pastor Mitch Arteberry officiating.
Jimmy Cooper was born on Sept. 8, 1970, in Pauls Valley, to Tommy Atwood and Linda Faye (Nunn) Cooper. He had lived in this area since 1981 and graduated from Stuart High School.
He worked for the city of McAlester for 17 years and had been working at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, as a welder, for the past 10 years.
Jimmy is survived by four children, Jordan Cooper, Garret Cooper, and Whitney Conover, all of McAlester, and Sarah Roscoe, of Broken Arrow; grandchildren, Kandon Clarke, Trevalynn Cooper, Memphis Conover and Jackson Clarke; his mother, Linda Cooper, of McAlester; brothers, Tommy Alan Cooper and wife, Jackie, of McAlester, Martin Shane Cooper and wife, Cassie, of McAlester, and Larry Cooper, of McAlester, and a nephew, Ricky Nelson Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his father.
