Jimmie Eugene Eller, 92, of Arpelar died May 22, 2017, at his residence. The family will greet friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday at Bishop Funeral Service. A graveside service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery officiated by Rev. Clint Gray. Military honors will be provided by the Robert B. Thomas VFW Post #1098. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jake Urrutia, Billy Ridenour, Howard Scroggins and Clifford Sexton. Jimmie was born to Clarence and Dorothy (Brown) Eller February 11, 1925, in Richville, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Jimmie married Helen Marie Ward in 1969 in Miami, Oklahoma. They owned and operated Borden Milk Distributorship for 13 years and then owned and operated the Westside Steakhouse for 25 years. Jimmie loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Bedouin Shrine. He was also a member of the Robert B. Thomas VFW Post #1098.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; sons, Darrell Jimmie Eller of Western Oklahoma; Barry Eller of Eufaula; granddaughter, Charlotte Urrutia of McAlester; great-grandchildren: Jake Urrutia and wife, Chelsa, Adelin Urrutia, Billy Ridenour, Britney Ridenour; great-great grandchildren: Hollee Jewel and Reemy Urrutia; three brothers, two sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Brandy Eller and one brother, Clifford Eller.
