Jerry Lee Perry Jr.

Jerry Lee Perry Jr., 52, of Krebs, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in Sayre.
A memorial service was held today, July 8, at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Brother Donnie Taylor officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were David Byler, Garret Simmons, Wayne Flatt, Jimmy Martin, Dewey Guthrie, Danny Buckner and Steve Iskey.
Jerry was born on January 21, 1967, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Jerry and Sharrie (Black) Perry. Jerry graduated from Payson High School in 1985, where he met and married the mother of his children.
Jerry joined the United States Army in 1988, where he served as a medic. He received several meritorious awards and medals including the Expert Field Medical Badge while assigned to the 3rd Squadron of the 4th U.S. Calvary Medical Platoon in Schweinfurt, Germany. He received an honorable discharge in 1991, joining the Department of Corrections one month later. Jerry climbed through the ranks to his current position as deputy warden at North Fork Correctional Center in Sayre, where he was promoted just one month ago.
Jerry was looking forward and preparing for retirement with the love of his life, Jonna (McMennamy) Goldsby, whom he married on December 19, 2009. Jerry was blessed to gain three more children and together they shared nine beautiful grandchildren.
Jerry spent most of his free time hunting and fishing on his family's land in Russellville. When he wasn't able to hunt or fish, he and his best friend, Garret Simmons, were preparing for the next hunt or building things in his shop. He also enjoyed doing taxidermy, and he absolutely loved to cook. Nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by his family. Jerry was incredibly witty, never knowing what he was about to say or do.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Jonna Kae Perry, of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Tanner and Amanda Perry, of Haileyville, and Tucker Goldsby, of Arrowhead Estates, and daughters and sons-in-law, Hayley Perry and Tom Beverly, of Haileyville, McKenzie and Garret Simmons, of Krebs, Katelyn and Flint Barnes, of McAlester, and Emalee Rodgers, of McAlester. Also grandchildren, Hayven and Tannin Perry, Nathan, Nick and Macy Miller, JP Poafpybitty, Gracie Kemp, Gatlyn Goldsby, and Ethan Barnes; parents, Glenn and Sharrie Jerdee, of Peoria, Arizona, and Kenneth and Jettie McMennamy, of Featherston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa and Randy Liukkonen, of Glendale, Arizona, Lisa and Eric Thompson, of Phoenix, Arizona, Karen Giles, of Santa Cruz, California, and Sarah and Justin Chaput, of Pavillion, Wyoming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kevin and Heather Perry, of Payson, Arizona, and Shane Perry, of Riverton, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Kenny McMennamy, of Savanna, and numerous other family members, friends, and his Department of Corrections family.
