Janet Davis, 58, of Wewoka, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Family will receive friends today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester. Monty Thompson will be the officiant.
Janet was born on Sept. 30, 1958, in Altus, to Bill and Sarah (Garr) Staley. She married Chris Davis on July 10, 2013, in Branson, Missouri.
She was an LPN for 30 years and had earned a bachelor's degree. Except for the last six years that she resided in Wewoka, she was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg County.
Janet was of the Baptist faith.
She enjoyed crocheting, painting, gardening and shopping.
Survivors include her husband, Chris Davis, of the home; children, Jason Eugene Ballard, of Wewoka, Freedom and husband, Hector Medina, of Oklahoma City, and James Ballard, of Heavener. Mother, Sarah Staley, of Sam's Point. Brother, James Staley, of Sam's Point. Sister, Joyce Padilla, of Krebs. Mother-in-law, Wanda Lee Davis, of Wewoka. Grandchildren, Hector, Gracie and Moo Moo (Mollie) Medina, Lena, Nellie, Ryan, Elizabeth Ballard and Nokose Ballard. Nephews, Josh and wife, Tiffani Padilla, Jacob Padilla, Jarod Padilla and Jonathon Staley. Niece, Jessica and husband, Health Hobbs. Ex-husband, James Ballard and spouse, Stephanie. Her beloved dog, Miko.
Janet was preceded in death by her father, Bill Eugene Staley; granddaughters, Jenna Leann Frizzell and Jenna Sky Ballard, and father-in-law, Doyle J. Davis.
