Jack David Allen, 54, of Canadian, Oklahoma died Saturday morning, Dec. 23, 2017, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Rev. Charles Allen officiating.
Military honors will be provided by United States Air Force Honor Guard from Tinker Air Force Base.
Jack was born on January 9, 1963, in Grants, New Mexico to Donald and Dolly Randolph Allen. He attended grade school in Canadian and later graduated from Canadian High School. After high school he entered the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged after 10 years of service. Jack then joined the Kiowa Police Department. He then worked for Jackie Brannon and The Oklahoma State Penitentiary for 22 years. Jack was a member of the Crowder Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed racing RC (remote controlled) cars, video game and he loved his firearms. Jack married Ramona Shaffer on October 27, 2006 in Fayettville, Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife, Ramona Allen, of the home; one son, Donald Allen, of the home and one step-son, Steven Shaffer, and spouse, Shannon, of Canadian Shores; four sisters, Dianna Woods, and spouse, Clarence, of Canadian, Oklahoma, Carolyn Tucker and Spouse, Kenny, of Mead, Oklahoma, JoAnn Rawls & spouse, Jim, of McAlester, D.J. Horton of Indiana; three brothers, Charles & spouse, Vanessa, of Scipio, Richard Allen and spouse, Tami, of Canadian, Roy Horton and spouse, June, of Mead, Oklahoma; step-dad, Ralph Horton, of Canadian, four grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his father and mother.
