Irene I. D'Innocenzo, 89, died Monday morning, July 17, 2017, at McAlester Regional Health Center.
Irene was born on Nov. 30, 1927, to William Tyler and Ethel Clarkson Walden in Okemah. She attended schools in Wilburton and graduated from Wilburton High School.
Irene married Philip D'Innocenzo on July 6, 1957, in Salina, Kansas. They lived in the McAlester area since moving here from Shawnee in 1985.
She was a member of the Lone Grove Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the volunteer fire department of the Blue Community.
Irene enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and was an avid reader. She also loved taking care of her grandkids.
Survivors include, a son, Ronald Dale D'Innocenzo, of Holdenville; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Mark Hearod, of McAlester; two grandchildren, Stefanie and husband, Kris Curtis, of Longwood, Florida, and Derek Hearod, of McAlester; a great-grandson, Gavin Curtis, of Longwood, Florida; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Shirley Walden, of Henryetta, and two sisters, Edith Walden, of Okemah, and Helen Little, of Hobbs, New Mexico.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip D'Innocenzo, in 1997; three brothers, Bill Walden, Raymond Dorman and Howard Walden, and four sisters, Virginia Morris, Clara Speakman, Omie Walden and Florence Walden.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Bishop Chapel of Memories. Burial will be at Wetumka Cemetery at 2 p.m. Officiating will be by the Rev. Samuel Ashwood and Terry Head.
Pallbearers will be Mark Hearod, Clyde Bullock, Derek Hearod, Terry Head, Ryan Head, Tim Heartsfield and Jeremy Head.
