Hueanna Duff, 82, of McAlester, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at her home.
Funeral services will be today, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of McAlester with the Rev. Steve Dennis officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Pallbearers will be Randy Saunier, Zane Robinson, Tony Baker Sr., Tony Baker Jr., Phillip Lalli and Marty House.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Freeman, Jamon Kirby, Don Branam and Gene Branam.
Hueanna Duff was born on March 14, 1935, in Hannah, to Hugh and Jewell (Dover) Baker. After receiving her master's degree in education, she taught in Wichita before moving to McAlester where she taught in the junior high for several years.
Hueanna had an entrepreneurial spirit and left teaching to explore several other business opportunities. She settled into the real estate business and worked as a broker for several years and was active in several state and national real estate organizations.
She enjoyed many activities in her life, most of all, loving on her family.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of McAlester.
She and Kenneth Duff were married on June 14, 1952, in Canadian.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dr. Jeff and Laura Duff, of McAlester, and Joey Duff, of McAlester; grandchildren, Josh Duff and wife, Morgana, Ashley Roberts and husband, Dillon, and Chelsea Simpson; great-grandchildren, Jackson Duff, Macy Duff, Toby Roberts and Silas Simpson; a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence E. and Millie Baker, of Okmulgee; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy (Baker) and Bill Carter, of Mounds, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and her parents-in-law, T.A. and Florence Duff.
